    This is what it’s all about, the art. For a moment I thought it was all about the getting there :}

    Nice work. When you find the material/resin suitable for lost resin casting by all means please share.

    Thanks again

      Hello Faheem,
      I have used this printer to print wax filled resin engagement ring sets and to burn them out directly and cast in gold. I have also used the rings printed with another type of resin to make a rubber mold and then inject regular wax and investment cast them. I have also made cheap sample rings for the customer to try on and see how they like the design. I sprayed them with silver or gold spray paint. It is a DIY 3D Printer based on DLP projector. It is meant to be assembled by other 3D Printer DIY’ers. I’m not selling the printer, I’m just showing how cheaply and easily you ( or with the help of others ) can assemble one at home.

    Hello Again Peter,

    I am reading your email entry to Faheem about print wax filled resin. Is this a new development? That is just the resin I would like to use my first print as the principal reason for this exercise, for me, is to accomplish just this. No more molds. Just print it out, add some additional material by hand where appropriate smooth things out and I have a perfect original ready to create a mold for casting. Will you be posting images of your gold castings on your website? I for one would be very interested in seeing some high resolution images of your work. Especially the final product. Not that the Manchester United ring wasn’t as cool as ever. By the way are they really going public in America or is this all flap?

    P.S. would you consider sharing you resin source? Thanks in advance!

      Hi John,
      I’m still making the Low temperature silicone molds as my stuff is going into production. I have resin from Fernando @ I also have found another source, but is very unreliable. I will have a site specific to jewelry in a few months. I mostly do the CAD and wax/resin work.

      ManUTD seems to be in a bind for cash and is filing for an IPO in the US. Don’t know how successful that will be since the Yanks don’t care much for football ( yeah! the real one ). Might be the F-book of football. I’m thinking after their HK IPO fell through they are looking to get cash somewhere else and it most likely will flop – Barrons and Bloomberg are not thrilled too. Not much of a fan of ManUTD.
